The Rooney’s Golf Foundation started hosting the Armed Forces Appreciation Breakfast in 2018 at the Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, FL. This patriotic event honors those who served and are serving to protect our country. The program includes breakfast or lunch, patriotic songs, a keynote speaker, and a preview of the upcoming Army-Navy Football Game. Past keynote speakers include former Congressman Thomas J. Rooney, Vietnam Veteran/former Pittsburgh Steeler, Rocky Bleier, former Naval Academy and Football Player, Napoleon McCallum, former Pittsburgh Steeler and Army Ranger Captain, Alejandro Villanueva, Richard Y. Newton III, Lieutenant General, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), in 2024, First Sergeant Matt Eversmann (Ret.), and in 2025, Medal of Honor Recipient U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Clinton Romesha.

 

The 2026 Armed Forces Appreciation Luncheon will be on Wednesday, December 9, 2026 at The Paddock Restaurant. The keynote speaker will be U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Johnny "Joey" Jones, a FOX News Media contributor and host. The benefiting charities are Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, Warriors Renewal Coalition, Unified Dream, and Wounded Veterans Relief Fund.
